Professional InternshipA Professional Internship is a job at a company which will allow you to put to use the skills which you learned in college or university. Depending on your major there are dozens of different types of internships available for you. Some of the most popular types of internship placement include: International Trade, Marketing, Events Planning, Finance and Business Administration. People who take these internships get the opportunity to experience the North American workplace while learning more about their field with real, practical work. Interns may be paid or unpaid depending on their skill set and level of experience. Typically internship jobs are blended positions with project work in your field of expertise, together with general administrative work and / or job shadowing (following another experienced worker and observing how they do their job). The Canadian workplace is very relaxed so you will find that you quickly mix in with your Canadian co-workers.
