Where in Canada?Canada is an enormous country - bigger than most people can imagine. For example, Vancouver and Toronto are further apart than Paris and Baghdad. So you shouldn't expect to be able to see the whole country in just a year. It's best to come here with an idea of what you want to see. You can start your trip in either: Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto or MontrealVancouver - Population 2,200,000 Vancouver is on the mild Pacific coast of Canada, in the Province of British Columbia.
Vancouver is English Canada's second city. Located on the Pacific Coast, Vancouver is a multicultural and diverse city where you can find ski-hills, beaches, and Chinatown all within minutes of each other.
This is a major tourist destination so most jobs you will find as interns are in the service sector and hospitality industries. Other popular industries in this city are events planning, marketing, and international trade.

Calgary - Population 1,100,000
Calgary is Canada's fastest-growing big city. It is home to the oil industry and hundreds of corporate head offices. Located in the Rocky Mountain foothills, this friendly city is the centre of Canadian entrepreneurship. Internships are available in every sector, but this is the best place for chemicals, engineering, and petro-chemical related jobs. This is also a fun place to be, with it's stampede and frontier, 'wild west' atmosphere.

Toronto - Population 5,500,000
Toronto is Canada's largest city and industrial and economic engine. Home to every type of job you can imagine. Toronto is just up the road from Niagara Falls and the American border. Toronto is a typical eastern city - a big city, complete with canyons of skyscrapers, a busy financial district, and an exciting entertainment district. Situated on Lake Ontario, on the Quebec-Windsor, rail corridor, Toronto is a great place to start your exploration of eastern Canada. For internships, this is the best city for business administration, public relations or marketing.

Montreal - Population 3,600,000
Montreal is the second-largest French speaking city in the world. It is a fun and exciting city - very different from the rest of North America, it has a European feel to it. To do an internship here you need to speak both French and English. Internships are available in every sector in this city, but we would most strongly recommend hospitality industry and business administration internships.
